Man Charged After Allegedly Driving Stolen Vehicle On Taconic Parkway

A 24-year-old man was arrested for allegedly using a vehicle that was reported stolen.

Andrew Wilson, of Poughkeepsie, was arrested around 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 21, after the Yorktown Town Police received a Real-Time Notification, that an alleged stolen vehicle was traveling northbound on the Taconic State Parkway, the Yorktown Police said.

Yorktown officers located the vehicle on Route 202 in the area of the parkway and conducted a traffic stop.

During the stop, officers discovered Wilson behind the wheel. An investigation found that he was driving the vehicle without the owner's permission, police said.

Wilson was arrested and charged with unauthorized use of a vehicle and released on his own recognizance. He is due to appear in court on Jan. 28, 2020.
